DAN CHEN
Dan is a multitalented Artist and Academic that brings a new perspective to Wedding Photography. He recently moved back to the States after spending 2 years in Belgium working towards a PhD in continental Philosophy. In 2016 Dan published an article for the New School on the influence of anti-intellectualism on the Presidential race.
Dan has traveled far too much for his liking. He’s shot weddings from East to West - Japan, India, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Jamaica, Hawaii.
His work has a cross-cultural quality that appeals to people with adventurous spirits. Love is a universal expression that transcends languages; it is expressed through two bodies in motion. His hunt for the genuine moments of love is obviously dominant in his photography. He treats his couples as they are, as subjects and not objects.
His most recent collaboration is with the Italian Vogue; a mix of architectural and fashion visuals that truly showcase his fresh, unique talent. His photography was also shot part of the campaign of MontBlanc’s new release; the Marilyn Monroe Pen.
His wedding work has been published in Vogue, Brides magazine, The Knot, among other publications and numerous blogs.
Dan’s style is best described as:
. ARTFUL . SHARP . FRESH . DOCUMENTARY
