ALEXIS RANDELL

Alexis is a photographer, dancer, and choreographer based in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, she grew up in Berkeley, California and Needham, Massachusetts.

Her love for photography exploded in high school as she spent hours in the darkroom experimenting with travel-inspired photomontage. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College with concentrations in dance and art history, Alexis continued her studies at the International Center of Photography in NYC.

Catching the moment is a hallmark of photography and dance. This synergy drives Alexis to explore and excel at both. She travels the world performing and choreographing ballets, operas, and other theatrical productions. Her visual sensitivity heightened by these experiences --- her expertise honed while shooting on her own and with some of New York’s most celebrated Photographers, crystalizing her style and individuality.

Wedding photography inspires her creativity, intention, and openness to match the moment. These qualities bring a unique sense of movement and grace to her work. She cherishes capturing the couples’ personal expressions of love woven into family traditions throughout the wedding day, and with camera in hand, she’ll never shy away from a hoppin’ dance floor!
